Rooted in the river villages
From Kwamalasamutu to Apetina, we invest in schools, clinics, and clean water — projects shaped by the elders and youth who live them.

Rijakannah serves twelve villages along the rivers of Suriname — strengthening communities, livelihoods, and the Amazon they have stewarded for generations.
Deep in the interior of Suriname, the Amazon meets a constellation of communities whose lives are woven into the forest. Rijakannah walks alongside these villages — listening first, building together, and investing in what makes a place truly thrive: clean water, education, healthy land, and the dignity of self-determination.
We don't bring solutions from far away. We bring partnership.
Our Work

From Kwamalasamutu to Apetina, we invest in schools, clinics, and clean water — projects shaped by the elders and youth who live them.

Regenerative agriculture, beekeeping, and forest-friendly enterprise create lasting income without taking from the land.

We support indigenous land mapping, monitoring, and the cultural craft that keeps the Amazon — and its people — standing tall.
Each village holds its own language, leadership, and wisdom. Rijakannah's role is to listen, connect, and quietly carry what's needed between them.
Your support funds clean water, classrooms, healthy soil, and the quiet, daily work of keeping the Amazon — and its people — well.
